Club Meeting:
November Committee meeting this Thursday night at 8:30p.m in the Clubhouse

Club Umbrellas:
There are Club Umbrellas for sale from the Clubhouse or from Secretary why not purchase one considering the inclement weather at the moment?

GPA Awards:
Congratulations to Lar Corbett and Padraic Maher who were named on the GPA team of the year last Friday. This is the second year in a row that the two lads have been named on the team. A special mention for Lar who collected yet another player of the year award, an award that saw him drive away in a brand new Opel Astra.

Ladies Notes:
Congratulations to the Sars under 14 girls who were crowned under 14c county champions last Saturday.  The game was played in terrible conditions in Ballingarry against a very strong Mullinahone team.  The game started at a brisk pace with Mullinahone on the scoresheet first, but the Sars girls came back with a goal. Scores were hard to come by, but by half-time the game was 1.03 to 1.02 to Sars.  In the second half, Sars extended the lead with another goal, but Mullinahone fought back with a goal of their own.  In the end, there was just two points between the teams with 5 minutes to go ( not including the 5 minutes added by the referee).  After a lot of frantic activity around the goalline which included a fine save, the ball coming off the upright and an incident where there was a goalmouth scramble which resulted in a hop-ball, the Sars girls held to win by 2.06 to 2.04.  Well done to all for winning Sars 3rd title in a row at this grade.

Sars minors are out this Saturday in the final against Moyle Rovers. Time and venue to be confirmed.  Best of luck to the girls as they bid to bring the third ladies title back to the club this year.  Many of this team were part of the Junior A team that were crowned county champions last month.
