A very busy weekend saw the club have the good fortune to secure victory in all three finals contested.
Co Minor A Hurling Final.
Congratulations to our minors who captured the Sean Treacy Cup by defeating Nenagh Eire Og in Dolla on Saturday last. The Mark Lanigan led side packed a powerful performance throughout and coupled with the outstanding achievement of Aidan McCormack in scoring 19 pts in a minor final put the issue beyond doubt. He was undoubtedly the Man of the Match, surprisingly there was no MOM award presented on this occasion although it has been the custom in recent years.
This panel of players and Seamus,Tommy,Noel & Paul had worked extremely hard over a long season to be crowned Mid and County Champions.Heartiest congratulations to all concerned.
Mid Junior B Final
Our Junior Hurlers had an early start in Templemore on Sunday where they faced Knock in the Mid Final. In an exciting tussle they retained their title with a 7pt victory.A late scoring burst proved the difference in the end.Team captain Conor Stapleton accepted the trophy on behalf of a panel with a good mixture of youth and experience. It a was a title earned on the training pitch and we thank the management team of Trevor,Michael,Andy,Michael and Pat for all their efforts.
The team now move forward to the County semi final versus West champions Knockavilla in Clonoulty at 4pm on Saturday Oct 2nd.
Mid Senior Hurling Final
Congratulations to our Seniors on their success in regaining the Mid title by defeating Drom-Inch in a close fought battle with the issue in doubt right to the end.Denis Mahers point secured the clubs 41st Mid title on a 1-16 to 2-11 scoreline,a title we last held in 2007.Team captain Patrick McCormack accepted the trophy on behalf of the panel. There were many fine  performances on the day with Michael Gleeson Jnr a deserving recepient of the the Man of the Match award. We congratulate Michael Gleeson and his management team of Paddy,Johnny & Tom in leading the team to the Mid Title.
They will now focus their attention on the Co Quarter Finals on Oct 3rd.
Many thanks to all the Blues supporters who turned out in great numbers for all 3 finals over the weekend.
