Club Notes Week-Ending March 5th

Adjourned Convention.

At the recent convention the following officers were appointed
Schools Liason Officer:Paddy McCormack Jnr,
Substance & Alcohol Abuse Officer:Michael Maher,
Coaching Officer:Ger Corbett.
Team managements for 2011-Intermediate Hurling:Brendan Carroll,Eamon Stakelum and one other to be appointed.Minor hurling:Connie Maher,Ronan Spain,Paul Lanigan,Mickey Collins.  U/21 hurling:Michael Maher,Paddy McCormack Jnr & John Cahill. Junior hurling:Andy Rossiter,Pat Lawlor,Michael Hanrahan,Michael O Mahoney & Trevor Cooke.
We thank these men for taking up their roles and we wish them every success in the year ahead.
 
U/21 A Football.
We exited the championship last weekend following our losers group defeat to Upperchurch-Drombane.We thank the players and Patrick & Phil Leahy for their efforts.
 
Fixtures
Cahill Cup 1st Round v Moyne/Templetuohy on Weds 9th March in Templetuohy.Throw in 8pm.
U/21 Hurling v Drom-Inch on Sunday 13th March in Templemore.Throw in 12 o clock.

Junior B All Ireland semi-final: 
Our Junior B's travel to Kileedy once again to play Ballindereen of Galway on Sunday next March 7th.Throw in 2pm.We wish them well as they attempt to qualify for the All Ireland final.
 
Club meeting
Committee meeting in the clubhouse on Thursday 3rd March at 8.30pm.
 
Awards Night
Please note that our Medal Presentation  & Awards night has been changed to Friday night March 18th in the Dome,Semple Stadium.This promises to be a great night of celebration with a large crowd in attendance.Our 4 County Championship winning sides will receive their medals, the various Player of the Year Awards and the prestigious Club Person of the Year Award will also be presented on the night.A 2 course meal and music by the Paddies is great value at €20.Tickets are available from  our club officers,the clubhouse,Classic Barbers and all team managements.See poster for details.
 
Bon voyage
Patrick Leahy & Eoghan O Dwyer are departing these shores this weekend and heading to Brisbane,Australia.While sorry to see them go we wish them a safe journey and every success down under.
 
Best Wishes
The club extends best wishes for a speedy recovery to our former great Sean McLoughlin of Willomere Drive.We hope to see him back to full health in the near future.
 
Sympathy
At our recent meeting votes of sympathy were extended to the Hayes Family,Bohernanave and the Brennan family,Loughmore.
