Minor Football- Sarsfields Minor footballers play Moycarkey-Borris in Littleton at 7pm tonight,Wednesday 18th April.

Junior Hurling- Our Juniors travel to Clonmore to play JK Brackens on Sunday 22nd April at 11.30am
                      Our 2nd team host Moyne Templetuohy on Saturday evening April 21st at 7pm.

Senior Hurling- Borrisileigh are our opponents in the County League on Friday night,20th April at home. Throw in at 7pm.

Good luck to Padraic, Michael, Pa and Glossie as they bid to book a place in the 2012 Allianz National Hurling League Final when they take on Cork in Semple Stadium on Sunday next.

Mick Cahill,Ballyheen,Templemore and late of Leugh,Thurles, who died last weekend,was a hurler of note with Thurles Sarsfields teams of the 1950's.Mick was on the clubs No 1 Junior hurling team that won four-in-a-row Mid Championships in 1955,'56,'57 and '58.This team also won county championships in 1955,'56 and 1958.In 1955, Mick was the team's captain.He was also a subsitute on the Senior championship winning teams in 1952 and '55. The club would like to extend its sympathy to Bridget his wife,sons John,Jim Michael and William,his sisters Anne O Dwyer,Aileen Hehir and Sr Margaret Cahill. 
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Frank Coffey who passed away in the last few weeks.
May they rest in peace.
